Episode 3 - The Weblog Entries Tag
Show Notes
This week we look at one of the fundamental aspects of ExpressionEngine - the weblog entires tag.
Hold on to your seats - this is more exciting than a room full of the Swedish netball team. Err... well maybe not.
Meet the nuts and bolts
If you are going to create anything using ExpressionEngine you are going to need to understand and use the Weblog Entries Tag. It allows you to pull out content and show it on your site in a variety of ways.
I thoroughly recommend reading the documentation which gives you a very good overview of what you can show and how you can do it.
Music
Levels got a bit mashed up this week so sorry if the voiceover got a bit lost. The music is Verve Unmixed. Buy it from iTunes.

It would be good if you could zoom into the code when you’re talking about it, for those not watching in HD - I’ve had laser eye surgery and even I had to squint a bit…
That’s a great point Luc! I’ll zoom in on the code examples next time!
Nice job of covering the basics. What I’d love to see next: a screencast covering how to set up a simple content management system. Keep up the good work.
